The main functions and responsibilities of the Project Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure coordination and communication between the seller and installer.
  • Monitor project progress according to schedules and deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites for workers.
  • Take measures for future projects in collaboration with sales consultants.
  • Include all relevant information on the measurement sheet to guide the installer during installation, in collaboration with sales consultants. Identify potential installation obstacles on the construction site during measurement taking and arrange for their correction to enable the required installation for the client.

Required: High School Diploma or other relevant training with knowledge of the construction industry.

Language:

Required: Fluent in written and spoken French.

Experience:

Required: Minimum of 6 years of experience in the construction industry.

Asset: Knowledge of all types of flooring coverings.

The main functions and responsibilities of the Sales Consultant/Designer include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Welcome the client and identify their needs.
  • Assist the client in finding the specified products.
  • Present samples and provide advice on product specifications, types of installation, etc.
  • Open a quote with Surfagest.
  • Complete the quote with the client (if it’s for materials only).
  • Follow up on the quote.
  • Ensure follow-up on installation requests.
  • Convert the quote into a sales order.
  • Collect the customer’s deposit and record the amount on the sales order.
  • Manage the sales order.
  • Monitor daily orders in progress.
  • Contact the customer when the goods arrive at the warehouse and confirm the pickup date with them.
  • Request the remaining balance from the customer.
  • Print the delivery or pickup order the day before or on the same day as the customer’s arrival.
  • Go to the notification page and invoice orders with the status “Shipped.”
  • After the installation is completed, contact the installer to check for any returns.
  • Organize the materials after customer meetings.

Desired Skills:

  • Positive attitude and customer relationship skills.
  • Good communication in French.

Skills:

  • Possess sales training or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the flooring industry (an asset).

The main functions and responsibilities of the Installer include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure the maintenance and management of the installation equipment.
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of installation types and materials.
  • For the team leader, ensure the use of appropriate goods for the site. In case of anomalies, contact the sales advisor in charge of the project. Plan the progress of the work on a day-to-day basis.
  • For the team leader, complete the “Daily Report” Excel file at the end of each day regarding the progress of the work.
  • For the team leader, notify the sales advisor of any need for additional materials in order to arrange for pickup from the warehouse. On the day of pickup, provide the warehouse teams with the project reference number and collect the materials.
  • For the team leader, ensure at the end of the project that the installation has been properly carried out.
  • Ensure the quality of the work performed at the end of each day. Any anomalies should be corrected as soon as possible.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the site throughout the work.

Qualifications:

Required: Vocational Diploma (DEP) in tiling or other relevant specialization with knowledge of the construction sector.

Language:

Required: Fluent in written and spoken French.

Desired: English (an asset).

The main functions and responsibilities of the Warehouse Clerk include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Performing the merchandise receiving process (relevant documentation, product labeling, coding, and data entry).
  • Ensuring that the received goods are correct and in good condition.
  • Preparing orders for delivery and for customers to pick up.
  • Ensuring proper layout of traffic areas within the warehouse.
  • Projecting a courteous and professional image to customers.
  • Working closely with all company personnel.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Ensuring the safety of the premises.
  • Welcoming customers and installers and providing them with necessary equipment.
  • Taking on any other tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor.

Your main tasks:

  • Learn about the delivery route from the manager;
  • Ensure loading and that all items on the order form are loaded into the truck in the ideal order of unloading;
  • Carry out a loading check to ensure the completeness of the items to be delivered;
  • Respect the course as much as possible and communicate any changes to the immediate superior;
  • When the sales consultant requests it, contact the customer by telephone to notify him of the arrival of the load;
  • Unload the goods respecting the standard safety rules. Verify the accuracy of unloaded items with the customer if necessary.
